A Day with My Cat is an animated short using collage-style visuals to capture the everyday charm of a cat’s life in a playful and lighthearted way.

Every cat owner knows that cats have their own quirky routines, full of small but endearing moments. I wanted to capture the charm of a cat’s daily life in a way that felt personal and playful. Instead of a traditional animation style, I explored a collage-inspired approach, layering cutout-style illustrations to bring movement and warmth to the story.

I worked on every part of the production, from concept development and storyboarding to illustration in Procreate and animation in After Effects. The handmade, textured feel of the collage technique helped create a lighthearted and nostalgic atmosphere.

This project was not just about storytelling—it was also a technical challenge in refining my motion graphics skills and learning how to use animation as a way to bring everyday moments to life. The final short blends whimsy, simplicity, and a strong visual identity, making it a unique and engaging experience.
